Facilities Maintenance Technician I/II (Aerospace)

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States; onsite facility work required

Salary: $22–$32 per hour depending on level.

What you will do

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance across facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and structural repairs.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, emergency equipment, building systems, and premises to identify required repairs and safety issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot forklifts, scissor lifts, and other large equipment.
• Manage facilities inventory, equipment calibration schedules, maintenance records, and work-order documentation.
• Support furniture relocation, space reconfigurations, clean-up, janitorial work in production areas, and facility projects.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Manager, Office Manager, vendors, and manufacturing or process engineering teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of facilities maintenance, warehouse, or similar hands-on experience.
• Current forklift and scissor lift certification or experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws and drills.
• Ability to read assembly instructions, technical manuals, maintenance documentation, blueprints, drawings, or sketches.
• Intermediate computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually or 100 lbs. with assistance while performing physical work throughout the day.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of facilities maintenance or manufacturing experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with maintenance logs, work-order documentation, preventive maintenance programs, and troubleshooting across multiple trades.
