Facilities and Maintenance Technician III

What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, controls, utilities, and building systems.
• Diagnose complex equipment failures using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support critical repairs affecting production, safety, compliance, and facility operations.
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, VFDs, refrigeration equipment, air handlers, package units, and mechanical systems using diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Recommend improvements that increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Escalate issues requiring engineering, vendor, or management support while mentoring junior technicians.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience with mechanical responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, ceilings, and other elevated areas.
• Ability to work safely in confined spaces, uneven terrain, bright, hot, humid, and low-light conditions.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment for most of the workday and sit or stand for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to follow OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE standards, and safety policies.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary trade or vocational education.
• Additional facility maintenance experience in lieu of formal education.
