IE Assembly Project Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Mexico; the role supports in-person assembly manufacturing operations.

What you will do

• Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes within Assembly Operations.
• Drive process improvements, cycle time reduction, line balancing, capacity optimization, waste elimination, and productivity gains.
• Support business objectives, quality targets, and customer satisfaction through manufacturing process control.
• Facilitate PFMEA activities as the moderator and technical leader for assigned production lines.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate process risks through cross-functional assessments.
• Maintain alignment between PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, work instructions, and production standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced English.
• At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Automotive Operations.
• Experience facilitating or participating in PFMEA activities.
• Advanced knowledge of AIAG-VDA PFMEA methodology, APQP, PPAP, process flow diagrams, control plans, IATF requirements, manufacturing process control, risk management, statistical methods, and quality tools.
• Experience with PFMEA software such as APIS IQ-FMEA or PLATO, advanced Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

• Experience with SAP.
