Export Manager (Logistics)

What you will do

• Develop and manage the export department across operations, finance, sales, people, systems, and culture.
• Prepare business plans, monitor productivity indicators, improve process efficiency, and maintain documented operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, government regulations, customer requirements, and contractual policies.
• Manage vendor relationships with airlines, trucking companies, and other logistics providers while improving cost efficiency.
• Support budgeting, P&L reviews, freight yield improvement, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and departmental financial controls.
• Develop business through sales and retention activities, mentor employees, conduct appraisals, and maintain structured staff development plans.

Requirements

• Four years of industry-specific experience or qualification.
• Proven leadership background and strong market and export product knowledge.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and listening skills.
• Good computer skills, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work at the Columbus, Ohio location.

• Graduate of the IATA/ FIATA Introductory Course.
