Customs Operations Manager (Logistics)

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Customs department and ensure appropriate staffing, resources, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, company procedures, client instructions, audits, licences, and authorisations.
• Review and approve customs entries, resolve errors and discrepancies, and maintain accurate customer documentation and account setup.
• Manage relationships with external customs brokers and customs authorities.
• Monitor workload, efficiency, billing, accounts receivable, invoices, and departmental profitability.
• Work with sales, customer retention, development, and account management teams to maintain customer relationships and grow the department.

Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of customs brokerage processes, systems, legislation, procedures, classification, valuation, and origin.
• Understanding of transport, commercial, and customs documentation, including air, road, and ocean transport requirements.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and strong organisational, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
