Program Manager, Sr. (Defense)

Location: Moorpark, California, United States; office-based role with occasional travel within the continental U.S.

Salary: $111,000–$169,250 per year

What you will do

• Lead the execution of complex programs and multiple concurrent related programs across cost, schedule, scope, technical performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop program plans, requirements, budgets, estimates at completion, resource allocations, communications plans, and integrated resource-loaded master schedules.
• Manage contractual deliverables, program controls, success criteria, performance metrics, risks, scope changes, and execution margins.
• Lead program meetings and reviews with government, commercial, internal, and executive stakeholders.
• Support business development, opportunity capture, and the preparation of cost and technical proposals.
• Mentor Project Managers and other Program Managers and oversee the preparation of program reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 12–15 years of Program Management experience, including leadership of advanced technical development or technical systems-of-systems programs.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent programs and managing firm fixed-price programs with risk management and mitigation plans.
• Strong knowledge of project management methods, tools, processes, cost and schedule estimation, and resource planning.
• Ability to interface effectively with internal teams and government and commercial customers; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected individual with qualifying asylee or refugee status; the role requires access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Technical master’s degree and PMI or equivalent certification.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience managing earned value and CRAD development programs under OTA or FAR15 contracts.
