Senior Program Manager (R&D)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA; quarterly onsite travel to Norway is required for project and program coordination.

What you will do

• Own assigned R&D projects and programs from concept through market launch.
• Monitor scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and delivery across multiple simultaneous programs.
• Lead incubation and New Product Development programs based in Atlanta, including local new product introductions.
• Coordinate across departments, disciplines, stakeholders, manufacturers, suppliers, and external partners.
• Partner closely with Norway-based PBU NPD and engineering teams throughout development.
• Maintain focus on customer needs, end-product value, and reducing production and maintenance costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology discipline.
• At least seven years of experience in project management, product management, engineering of robotics or automated storage solutions, or development of complex products.
• Experience managing multiple highly complex projects and supporting program delivery.
• Strong planning, structuring, direction-setting, problem-solving, communication, and hands-on delivery skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; the role requires quarterly onsite travel to Norway.

Nice to have

• Previous developer or engineering experience.
• PMI certification.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Norwegian communication skills.
