Technical Support Engineer (Bare Metal)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA; San Francisco, CA; Bellevue, WA; or New York, NY, United States

Salary: $99,000–$132,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support and operate bare-metal GPU fleets and supercomputing infrastructure for customer workloads.
• Diagnose, triage, and investigate customer issues and high-priority production incidents.
• Perform log analysis and debugging across firmware, drivers, hardware, and software layers.
• Coordinate remote troubleshooting and hardware interventions with data center technicians.
• Collaborate with engineering and networking teams to improve reliability, performance, connectivity, and software stability.
• Create troubleshooting documentation and implement scripting and automation to reduce manual support work.

Requirements

• Experience with data centers, GPU clusters, server deployments, system administration, or hardware troubleshooting.
• Intermediate Linux command-line knowledge and experience with NVIDIA GPUs, SuperMicro systems, Dell systems, HPC, and large-scale data centers.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP, with practical network troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on experience with firmware updates, BIOS configuration, driver management, and system log analysis.
• Experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar scripting and automation tools.
• Applicants must meet applicable U.S. export-control access requirements, including being a U.S. person or eligible for access or export authorization.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized infrastructure.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Notion, or similar issue-tracking and documentation platforms.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
