Commercial Underwriting Counsel (Hybrid)

Salary: $97,700–$130,300 annually

What you will do

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Underwrite title insurance within established standards, guidelines, and delegated authority limits.
• Advise company personnel on real estate settlement services.
• Develop and issue underwriting standards and guidelines in line with company processes.
• Support national commercial real estate transactions by assessing risks and delivering practical solutions.

Requirements

• Law degree required.
• Admitted and licensed to practice law in the state of employment, in good standing.
• 5–7 years of title underwriting experience; commercial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate law, including federal and state regulations, and title and settlement processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to collaborate, make decisions, build relationships, and communicate difficult information tactfully.
