Engineer I/II/III (Hydraulic Modeling)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Field and office work is required, with travel to various job sites across New Mexico of up to 25%.

Engineer I: $73,440–$91,800 annually; Engineer II: $88,640–$110,800 annually; Engineer III: $104,960–$131,200 annually.

What you will do

• Provide engineering expertise for intermediate, generally conventional projects.
• Apply established engineering standards, techniques, and procedures to support operational areas.
• Conduct studies evaluating performance, cost, schedules, and engineering alternatives.
• Provide technical direction and supervise contractors and company personnel as required.
• Prepare monthly project financial reports covering budgets, forecasts, work offers, invoice approvals, and actuals.
• Communicate project proposals, status updates, recommendations, and evaluations to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Petroleum, Metallurgy/Materials Science, Electrical, or Construction Engineering.
• Engineer I: no experience required; the degree must be held or obtained within three months of hire.
• Engineer II: two years of engineering experience, or one year with a Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Engineer III: five years of engineering experience, or three years with a Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Comfort working around high-pressure gas facilities, equipment, pipelines, natural gas emergencies, chemicals, and outdoor conditions; personal protective equipment is required for field work.

Nice to have

• Construction or utility experience in the natural gas industry.
• Utility or consulting engineering experience.
• Natural gas distribution or transmission modeling experience.
• FE and/or PE certification.
