Lean Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Blaine, MN, US; based onsite at facilities in Blaine or Anoka during onboarding and training, then at the new Lexington, MN facility when it opens in 2027.

Salary: $20.40–$37.80 per hour

What you will do

• Partner with production teams, supervisors, engineers, and site leaders to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply Lean tools including standard work, ergonomics, SMED, Kanban, value stream mapping, and 5S.
• Support Lean Kaizen events by coordinating activities, preparing materials, documenting actions, and helping with implementation.
• Conduct process observations and revise standardized work procedures.
• Prioritize improvement opportunities across safety, quality, delivery, cost, cash flow, and productivity.
• Track project progress, communicate results, and gather employee feedback.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, such as an operator, assembler, technician, team lead, or similar hands-on production role.
• Ability to observe processes, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute practical solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work with production teams on the manufacturing floor.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP are preferred.
• Proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn Lean tools and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Exposure to 5S, Kaizen, standard work, visual management, or daily improvement activities.
• Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
