Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic (Automotive)

Location: 2899 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, Texas, United States. Onsite, full-time position with weekends off.

What you will do

• Perform general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
• Conduct state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot guest concerns and communicate vehicle damage or malfunctions to the service department.
• Complete accurate courtesy vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance reports.
• Follow federal, state, and local requirements, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know procedures.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Current driver's license.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds occasionally and work with vehicles raised overhead or in tight spaces.
• Dexterity with hand tools, ability to stand and walk for most of the workday, and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a brisk pace in a high-volume environment and use a computer efficiently.
