Solution Architect Program Manager (Embedded Systems)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $147,050–$230,850 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Drive solution programs from concept exploration and feasibility through architecture definition, proof of concept, productization, integration, validation, and launch readiness.
• Translate ambiguous innovation concepts into solution scope, use cases, requirements, architecture assumptions, success criteria, milestones, and execution plans.
• Manage integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, issue triage, mitigation plans, fallback options, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate product management, system architecture, hardware, firmware, software, security, validation, operations, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical tradeoff discussions covering scalability, security, manufacturability, supportability, and roadmap alignment.
• Communicate program status, technical risks, recovery plans, decisions, and launch readiness to engineering leaders, product stakeholders, and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, system software, embedded software, firmware, platform engineering, technical program management, or complex hardware/software product development.
• Experience taking technical solutions from concept or proof of concept through architecture alignment, productization, integration, validation, production readiness, and launch.
• Deep understanding of embedded platforms, PC architecture, drivers, kernel-level software, operating system interfaces, connectivity, security, manageability, and validation.
• Hands-on knowledge of C/C++, Python or scripting, RTOS or Linux/Windows system concepts, firmware interfaces, boot flows, power management, performance optimization, and hardware/software debugging.
• Strong skills in milestone planning, integrated schedule management, agile execution, CI/CD workflows, requirements definition, defect triage, and release-readiness governance.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled device experiences, edge AI, device orchestration, intelligent endpoint platforms, or commercial PC innovation.
• Experience managing roadmap alignment, backlog priorities, release readiness, supplier delivery, and executive status reporting.
