Principal Systems Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Define end-to-end system architectures spanning ASIC/SoC silicon, server boards, firmware, and low-level software.
• Author system architecture, micro-architecture, and platform requirements specifications, including hardware/software partition boundaries and register-level interfaces.
• Architect secure AI-driven SoCs and server platforms using interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, eSPI, I3C, LTPI, and AXI/AHB.
• Engage enterprise and hyperscaler customers, ecosystem partners, and standards committees to scope platform security needs and present technical roadmaps.
• Guide server motherboard, BMC, signal integrity, power delivery, thermal, and mechanical integration decisions.
• Define secure boot, Root-of-Trust, PFR, OpenBMC, Linux driver, MCTP, PLDM, and Redfish interfaces.

Requirements

• 10+ years of system architecture or hardware engineering experience across SoC design, board development, and software stacks.
• Experience in server, data center, enterprise infrastructure, or semiconductor ecosystems, including taking complex board designs to high-volume production.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of SoC design, PCIe, Ethernet, DRAM, USB, board design, schematic capture, lab bring-up, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Understanding of embedded firmware, RTOS, Linux device drivers, low-level C/C++, Python or Bash scripting, and modern CPU/GPU architectures.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and experience producing detailed, production-grade technical specifications.

Nice to have

• Participation in Open Compute Project communities and knowledge of OCP DC-SCM/DC-SCI standards.
• Experience with cryptographic accelerators, HSMs, TPMs, and side-channel attack mitigations.
• Experience with OpenBMC, MCTP, NVMe-MI, LTPI, and Cadence OrCAD/Allegro.
• Established relationships with hyperscaler and OEM partners, plus experience with supply-chain redesign and alternative component sourcing.
