Senior Program Manager, Architecture & Automation Deployment (AI)

Location: US-CA-Santa Clara; remote work option available. Travel required: 25%.

Salary: $179,931–$315,300 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead voice-of-customer programs with engineering teams to identify high-impact tools, automation, and AI opportunities.
• Translate engineering feedback into deployment priorities, business cases, and scalable rollout programs.
• Own end-to-end deployment of architecture capabilities and AI solutions from pilot through enterprise adoption.
• Drive training, change management, usage tracking, and corrective actions after deployment.
• Manage cross-divisional automation programs, including accelerated engineering initiatives with the China Innovation Center.
• Maintain program plans, governance cadences, portfolio reporting, risks, resources, timelines, and cross-program dependencies for CTO and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of program or project management experience in a hardware or instrument R&D environment.
• Experience deploying tools, processes, or capabilities across engineering teams.
• Systems engineering background or hands-on experience with systems engineering processes.
• Experience running voice-of-customer or internal stakeholder research and converting findings into structured plans.
• Strong scope, schedule, risk, portfolio, stakeholder, communication, and cross-functional influence skills.
• Ability to work credibly with engineering leads on systems-level and architecture workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with engineering tool rollouts, digital transformation, or AI and automation adoption.
• Experience leading cross-divisional or multi-site programs with offshore or globally distributed engineering teams.
