Staff Supplier Integration Manager - ARC (Fusion Energy)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid workplace. The role requires 25–50% travel to remote sites and work in facilities with industrial hazards, including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.

What you will do

• Develop and execute global supply chain, category, commodity, and supplier strategies for ARC and future fusion powerplants.
• Partner with engineering, R&D, fusion economics, finance, government affairs, and executive leadership on value engineering, technology selection, cost reduction, and technology-readiness improvements.
• Conduct supplier searches, site surveys, business evaluations, supplier reviews, performance management, and corrective-action resolution.
• Build senior-level supplier relationships and negotiate long-term, high-value agreements for raw materials, metals, machined components, welding, fabrication, and contracted assemblies.
• Analyze supplier financial health, market conditions, costs, risks, and opportunities for acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Prepare technical reports, research, briefings, diligence materials, project plans, budgets, schedules, and external presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience managing supply chains involving raw materials, metals, machined components, welding and fabrication, or contracted assemblies.
• Expertise in technical sourcing, long-lead-time contracting, project-milestone incentives, finance, supplier risk, and both prototype R&D and ongoing production sourcing.
• Ability to work with plasma physicists, engineers, material scientists, supplier executives, and senior leadership in uncertain, low-TRL environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, writing, communication, systems-mapping, negotiation, and complex-project leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, work nights, weekends, or on call when required, and work around industrial hazards.

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, joint-venture formation, or strategic partnership frameworks.
• Experience in fusion industry supply chains or other emerging-technology environments.
