Supply Chain Manager (Nuclear)

Salary: $110,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Source and qualify suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components.
• Lead RFQs, negotiate pricing and contract terms, drive cost reductions, and maintain preferred vendor lists and category strategies.
• Manage supplier performance, purchasing, inventory, lead times, inbound logistics, demand forecasts, and procurement plans.
• Build scalable processes and tools for material planning, tracking, reporting, supplier onboarding, quality tracking, and inventory management.
• Partner with engineering on BOMs, specifications, and component forecasts, and work with manufacturing and operations to support build schedules.
• Coordinate with finance on budgets, cash-flow implications, and cost forecasts while identifying and mitigating supply risks.

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of supply chain, procurement, or sourcing experience, preferably in hardware, devices, or manufacturing.
• Experience owning procurement strategies and negotiating with suppliers.
• Strong understanding of hardware development cycles from prototype through pilot and production.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment and work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
• Comfort working with spreadsheets, ERP/MRP systems, and BOM tools.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, analytical, and hands-on problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up or optimizing ERP/MRP systems in a startup environment.
• Familiarity with global logistics, customs, and compliance.
• Experience with contract manufacturers or hardware suppliers in the United States and overseas.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering familiarity for technical sourcing discussions.
