TL;DR
Senior UX Researcher (Healthcare): Planning and conducting mixed-method research, usability studies, and customer discovery for healthcare and financial workflows with an accent on qualitative and quantitative analysis, participant recruitment, and actionable product insights. Focus on translating research findings into product and design recommendations, leading cross-functional workshops, and communicating strategic decisions to stakeholders.

Location: Canada — Remote or Mississauga, Ontario — Hybrid. Remote employees must travel to the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding and selected team events. The role also includes limited travel to customer sites, approximately four times per year.

Salary: $60.00–$66.68 CAD per hour.

What you will do

  • Partner with Product and UX Design on opportunity discovery, ideation, research planning, and participant selection.
  • Lead end-to-end research, including recruitment, discussion-guide development, interviews, surveys, usability testing, facilitation, analysis, synthesis, and presentation of findings.
  • Conduct user outreach, use-case discovery, persona and journey mapping, validation, and prototype-based research.
  • Translate customer feedback and qualitative and quantitative data into product strategy and UX design recommendations.
  • Lead workshops, communicate research decisions to leadership, and provide project leadership to researchers and designers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, Data Science, Customer Insights, and internal subject-matter experts to strengthen user-centered outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a UX researcher or in a similar customer-focused research role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, statistics, human-computer interaction, information systems, or a related field.
  • Ability to develop research strategies and discovery plans, select methodologies, conduct studies, and synthesize findings.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research, communication, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Dovetail, User Interviews, Salesforce, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Pendo, or similar research and product-experience tools.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot in research work.

Nice to have

  • Experience researching healthcare, medical, regulated, payer, acute-care, or financial applications.
  • Experience collaborating in Figma and Miro and conducting prototype-based research.
  • Experience collaborating across Product, UX Design, Engineering, Customer Success, Data Science, and Customer Insights.
