UX Designer/UX Researcher (Airline)

Location: Chicago, IL or Houston, TX; remote candidates must be based in the U.S.

Pay: Up to $65 per hour on W2

hirify.global is recruiting for a UX design and research role supporting employee-facing digital products and operational tools for a major airline.

What you will do

• Design and improve digital tools used by employees across operational and corporate environments.
• Research employee workflows, pain points, workarounds, and unmet needs through interviews and stakeholder collaboration.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed interaction designs for web and mobile experiences.
• Conduct usability testing and concept validation, then apply findings to iterate on solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Simplify complex and legacy workflows within established design systems and technical constraints.

Requirements

• Professional UX or Product Design experience with a strong portfolio; portfolio submission is required.
• Experience designing internal tools, employee experiences, enterprise software, or complex operational workflows.
• Strong interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and systems-thinking skills.
• Hands-on research experience, including interviews, usability testing, concept validation, and synthesis of findings.
• Experience designing web and/or mobile products, with strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; H-1B sponsorship and C2C arrangements are not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in airlines, aviation, Tech Ops, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, field operations, HR technology, workforce tools, or other operationally complex environments.
• Experience with AI-enabled products, native mobile/iOS, Workday, ServiceNow, or Oracle.
