Mechanical Engineer I (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Assist with the design and development of mechanical components and systems.
• Support the creation and execution of mechanical product test plans.
• Perform basic engineering analyses and simulations to validate designs.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, design specifications, and project updates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet design requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design and testing issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD software.
• Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering tools and conceptual knowledge of engineering practices.
• Ability to understand technical documents, designs, and test reports and communicate technical information clearly.
• U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Internship or project experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Familiarity with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, material and hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
• Knowledge of environmental requirements for aircraft and space components.
• Familiarity with CATIA.
