Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the manufacturing plant in New London, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 USD annual base salary, plus participation in an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead the overall performance, culture, and operations of a manufacturing site with approximately 250 associates and direct responsibility for 125 associates.
• Maintain accountability for environmental, health, and safety performance, quality, compliance, and associate training.
• Lead, coach, and develop production and training teams, frontline leaders, and managers.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently achieved through standardized performance metrics.
• Execute lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve cost, quality, and safety.
• Develop manufacturing strategies and support new product introductions, capacity planning, and operational ramp-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading managers and frontline leaders in a production setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and sustain high-performing teams.
• Strong record of meeting production, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related computer systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-process manufacturing, including PE, PVC, extrusion, or similar operations.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience, including Six Sigma or Kaizen.
• Strong change management and communication skills.
