Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Charter Dura-Bar plant in Woodstock, Illinois, United States

Annual base salary: $142,600–$178,300

What you will do

• Lead plant operations across production, costs, raw materials, maintenance, quality, delivery, customer service, and employee development.
• Create and execute strategic initiatives and operating plans aligned with business and gain-sharing objectives.
• Improve productivity and quality while reducing costs through process improvements, Lean techniques, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Develop operational methods, manufacturing procedures, budgets, and capital expenditure plans.
• Build and coach a collaborative operations and supervision team, including employee training and cross-training.
• Maintain a culture of safety, trust, teamwork, accountability, open communication, and disciplined execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of operations experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated planning, leadership, delegation, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with cost reduction, process improvement, project management, accident prevention, production control systems, and resource planning.
• Experience developing team-based Continuous Improvement initiatives and fostering trust and teamwork.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business or a related field, including an MBA.
• Experience in a related industry and technical knowledge of plant products and processes.
• Experience with applicable quality standards and advanced Manufacturing Information Systems.
