Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite role with swing-shift availability required from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

What you will do

  • Support the construction and operation of the ceramic matrix composite pilot line.
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot chemical vapor deposition reactors.
  • Set up and run process cycles for material batches.
  • Operate and maintain industrial equipment, including complex machinery and control systems.
  • Assist with chemical vapor deposition process development and improvement.
  • Record process data, document production anomalies, and resolve mechanical and electrical pilot-line issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols for furnace and heavy machinery operation.
  • Ability to work the required swing shift from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Access to export-controlled information may require compliance with U.S. Government eligibility, authorization, citizenship, or security-clearance requirements if applicable.

Nice to have

  • Experience operating and servicing chemical reactors, high-temperature furnaces, automated composite layup equipment, or petroleum hardware.
  • Two years of experience with aerospace composites.
  • Three years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience with analog and digital instrumentation, including control systems, load cells, pressure transducers, strain gauges, encoders, deflection gauges, and accelerometers.
