Technical Application Manager (Pharmaceutical Ingredients)

Location: Opportunity to be based anywhere in the United States; preference for West Coast and East Coast locations. Travel up to 50%.

Salary: USD 121,340–151,670 annually, plus eligibility for incentive pay.

What you will do

• Develop and close new opportunities with biopharma R&D, manufacturing, and business development teams.
• Provide product recommendations, formulation support, technical training, and customer guidance during scale-up and technical transfers.
• Grow strategic customer accounts and territories through consultative selling, sales calls, and coordinated work with sales and product management.
• Use Salesforce to communicate qualitative and quantitative updates, generate industry reports, and support corrective actions.
• Track product and industry developments, create thought-leadership content, and contribute to trade shows, technical presentations, and marketing materials.
• Manage three direct reports and contribute to financial targets, regulatory interpretation, and safety initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical experience in the biopharma industry with a proven record of accomplishment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of biopharma manufacturing processes, formulations, applications, and R&D drivers.
• Experience navigating regulated markets and interpreting government and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze and communicate complex scientific and technical information, work independently, and build relationships across diverse networks.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and be based in the United States.
