Sr Business Process Owner, Portfolio Health (Auto Insurance)

Salary: $73,500–$115,000 base annual pay, plus bonus eligibility

hirify.global is developing General Motors Insurance, a connected auto insurance business that uses vehicle and driving insights to improve the customer experience from quoting through policy servicing and claims.

What you will do

• Serve as the underwriting and portfolio health subject-matter expert.
• Oversee policy reviews, eligibility assessments, cancellations, non-renewals, rescissions, and compliance-related decisions.
• Mentor Policy Servicing Clerks and provide escalation support and decision authority.
• Design, document, and implement end-to-end processes, workflows, process maps, and operating standards.
• Define process strategy, future-state design, success metrics, KPIs, and monitoring frameworks.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver process and technology enhancements and maintain the improvement roadmap.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of auto insurance and prior auto underwriting experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant business or operations experience.
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use AI tools, evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias, and integrate AI into workflows responsibly.
• Must work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of auto underwriting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a startup or growth-mode environment.
