Outside Auto Appraiser

Location: Wichita, Kansas area; must reside in or be willing to relocate at personal expense to the assigned territory. The role is based remotely with mobile work at residential and commercial locations and possible work from the nearest hirify.global office.

Salary: $63,800–$105,400 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.

What you will do

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage from accidents, weather events, and other covered losses through virtual and on-site inspections.
• Prepare and review repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software, including parts, labor, and materials costs.
• Evaluate total-loss vehicles by determining actual cash value through market research, comparable vehicle analysis, and valuation tools.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with customers, body shops, and third-party claimants.
• Identify pre-existing damage, prior repairs, and potential fraud indicators while coordinating repairs, supplements, and claim issues with representatives and vendors.
• Explain the appraisal process to vehicle owners, support timely claim resolution, and adapt to new digital and AI tools.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Wichita, Kansas area or willing to relocate there at personal expense.
• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
• At least one year of auto physical damage appraisal or comparable claims experience, or successful completion of the required hirify.global Claim Representative training program.
• Active adjuster license where applicable; two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience and a bachelor's degree are preferred qualifications.
• Proficiency with claims management and estimating software, Microsoft Office, and enterprise technology systems.
• Strong communication, judgment, customer service, conflict resolution, organization, and stress-management skills.
