VP Third-Party Risk Management (Banking): Designing and evolving a bank-wide third-party risk management framework for auto finance and deposit products with an accent on regulatory oversight, service-provider governance, and operational resilience. Focus on assessing third-party criticality, testing controls, monitoring affiliate transactions under Regulation W, and reporting risk indicators to executives, auditors, and regulators.
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain the third-party risk management framework, including relationship inventories, risk assessments, due diligence, contract oversight, and ongoing monitoring.
- Monitor affiliate transactions for compliance with Federal Reserve Regulation W.
- Report third-party relationship quality, sustainability, risk indicators, limits, thresholds, and risk appetite to the Board of Directors, executives, auditors, and regulators.
- Define escalation processes for audit findings, financial deterioration, security breaches, data loss, service interruptions, compliance lapses, and customer complaints.
- Partner with Compliance, Information Security, business lines, auditors, and regulators to assess controls, service-provider performance, operational resilience, and contractual obligations.
- Integrate third-party risk management with the enterprise risk management program.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, auditing, or banking regulation.
- 7–10 years of management or leadership experience.
- 5–7 years of third-party management experience at a US federally regulated financial institution.
- Subject matter expertise in third-party risk identification, criticality assessment, controls testing, Interagency Guidance on Third-Party Relationships, the FFIEC Third-Party Oversight handbook, and Regulation W.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, MIS, or another quantitative field; equivalent experience may be considered for non-quantitative degrees.
- Strong presentation, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
