Composite & Bonding Specialist Manager (Aerostructures)

Location: Kinston, North Carolina, United States; 100% onsite. U.S. citizenship is required, and only applicants with current U.S. work authorization will be considered.

What you will do

• Lead a team of represented employees fabricating and assembling complex aerostructures.
• Oversee assembly of components into subassemblies and joining of metallic and nonmetallic structural assemblies.
• Supervise installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using fasteners, connectors, and adhesives.
• Ensure testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment.
• Develop solutions to complex manufacturing problems using ingenuity and creativity.
• Coordinate with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least five years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional groups including Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Machining.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven leadership and strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• U.S. citizenship and current U.S. work authorization are required.

Nice to have

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience with statements of work, cost monitoring, project management, strategic planning, or new product introduction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
• Experience in a union environment with collective bargaining agreements.
• Availability to work any shift, including alternative work weeks.
