Materials and Process Engineer, Impregnation (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support slurry preparation, fiber impregnation, and ceramic matrix composite prepreg manufacturing.
• Develop and optimize impregnation parameters controlling fiber content, resin or slurry loading, and material uniformity.
• Collect, analyze, and manage process quality-assurance data and databases.
• Characterize raw materials and prepreg to assess quality and guide process development.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standardized operating procedures.
• Support installation, maintenance, and scale-up of prepreg manufacturing hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Familiarity with composite processing, polymer or slurry processing, and/or materials characterization techniques.
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on engineering environment.
• Willingness to work weekends when necessary.
• The role may require access to classified information or restricted U.S. government sites, systems, or information, subject to applicable security clearance, citizenship, and other eligibility requirements.
• Employment or contractor hiring is contingent on the ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing.
