Additive Manufacturing Technician (Monday-Thursday) (Aerospace)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States; onsite at the Knoxville facility. Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

hirify.global develops and manufactures jet propulsion systems using additive manufacturing technologies for unmanned aerial defense and other defense applications.

What you will do

• Assist with machine setup, build preparation, material loading, and metal powder handling for LPBF and MBJ systems.
• Perform machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, powder recycling, sieving, storage, and material traceability activities.
• Complete production records, inspection documentation, and work order tracking while following quality procedures.
• Perform basic visual inspections, report defects, and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and delivery.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, and production leadership.
• Support inventory management and material movement, including operation of hoists when trained and authorized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written instructions and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment and comply with aerospace quality and safety standards.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn manufacturing software systems.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing, and to work overtime or varying shifts when required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Previous manufacturing, machining, or production experience.
• Experience with additive manufacturing, 3D printing, or CNC equipment.
• Experience in aerospace, medical, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Technical school, vocational training, or an associate degree in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
