Maintenance Technician (Automation)

Salary: $70,740–$82,368 USD per year, plus an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain automated machinery, conveyor systems, robotics, and other facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, calibration, parts replacement, inspections, and performance planning.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, automated storage systems, and complex machinery using diagnostic tools.
• Record work orders, equipment logs, inventory data, and preventive-maintenance tasks and parts in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians on system optimization, process improvements, upgrades, and root-cause resolution.
• Support technician and operator training, facility cleanliness, emergency maintenance, and workplace safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree is preferred.
• Experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in an automated distribution center or manufacturing facility.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including the ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, robotics, PLCs, automated storage systems, and preventive-maintenance equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot 240VAC, 480VAC, and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to work shifts, respond to emergency maintenance situations, communicate effectively, and follow OSHA and company safety requirements.
