Software Engineering Manager (Azure)

Location: Houston, Texas, One Allen Center; additional locations in Denver, Colorado; Findlay, Ohio; and San Antonio, Texas.

Salary: $141,300–$212,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and manage front-end, backend, and full-stack software engineers while developing talent, performance, and team culture.
• Guide the design, development, testing, maintenance, availability, reliability, and security of business technology solutions.
• Plan and deliver low- to medium-complexity IT projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Drive Agile software delivery and DevSecOps practices, including fast, frequent, and secure releases.
• Align engineering roadmaps with business objectives and participate in architectural discussions.
• Manage budgets, metrics, compliance, staffing decisions, and technology transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Work from a listed U.S. location: Houston, Denver, Findlay, or San Antonio.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another computer-related field.
• 10 or more years of diversified IT experience and at least 3 years of direct or indirect leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of software development, design, Agile methodologies, software reliability, and automated testing.
• Excellent knowledge of C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Blazor, React, Angular, DBMS, T-SQL, or PL/SQL.
• Experience with APIs, cloud-native solutions, Azure, Salesforce, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and application security.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevSecOps principles, Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience migrating monolithic architectures to modern technology stacks.
• Background in the oil and gas industry.
