Facility Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, supporting manufacturing and fulfillment facilities in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The role involves hands-on work across facility infrastructure, equipment, production areas, and maintenance operations.

What you will do

• Plan, maintain, and continuously improve facility infrastructure, equipment, layouts, utilities, and operational systems.
• Design and oversee facility, equipment, construction, retrofit, installation, and commissioning projects.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment history, and documentation through the CMMS.
• Maintain HVAC systems, USP water, boilers, compressed air, hot water, and electrical systems to support production requirements.
• Coordinate facility racking, shelving, workstations, material-handling equipment, and other workspace infrastructure.
• Manage maintenance staff, contractors, vendors, inspections, emergency response, compliance activities, budgets, and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in an FDA-regulated environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD, NetSuite, and Microsoft Office or equivalent office applications.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms, preventive maintenance, work order management, building processes, construction principles, regulations, and building codes.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
