IT Software Development Project Manager

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; office-based environment with occasional work from home for eligible positions after training

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, deployment, and post-launch support for custom software development projects.
• Build project plans, timelines, resource allocation schedules, requirements documentation, status reports, and change requests.
• Coordinate communication between developers, business stakeholders, IT leadership, and executive leadership.
• Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives for Agile/Scrum teams.
• Identify, track, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues while managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Support change management, pilot studies, user adoption, and post-project reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing IT or software development projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile.
• Experience managing project timelines and cross-functional teams, with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with change management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, quality, and data integrity standards, including GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and SOx.

Nice to have

• PMP, CSM, or another relevant project management certification.
• Experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated life sciences environment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulated industry requirements.
• Experience managing custom software development projects rather than only vendor or COTS implementations.
• Working knowledge of software development concepts and engineering team collaboration.
