Business Analyst / Functional Tester (Jira)

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
• Work with stakeholders, product owners, developers, testers, and project teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery, including backlog management, sprint planning, Scrum ceremonies, and project documentation.
• Create, execute, and maintain functional test cases and scripts for system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Document and track defects, coordinate resolution, and validate fixes.
• Prepare requirements documents, traceability materials, test documentation, user guides, standard operating procedures, meeting notes, and status updates.

Requirements

• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust, Secret, or Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for basic federal clearance eligibility.
• 5–7+ years of relevant experience supporting IT systems, software development, modernization, application enhancement, or enterprise technology projects.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Tester, Business Systems Analyst, QA Analyst, Scrum Master, or similar professional.
• Hands-on experience with requirements analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional testing, regression testing, UAT, defect validation, and requirements traceability.
• Hands-on experience using Jira for user stories, tasks, defects, sprint activities, project progress, and documentation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, strong communication and analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Scrum Master, Agile, or related project management certification.
• Experience with federal government IT projects, Oracle, ERP, financial, case management, or other enterprise applications.
• Experience with test management, automated testing, Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, ServiceNow, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, metrics, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.
