Sr. Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster

Location: Delaware, United States; remote opportunity with on-site presence required for collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership. The role supports Delaware, West Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and New Jersey jurisdictions.

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 base compensation annually.

What you will do

• Independently manage moderate to highly complex workers’ compensation claims from investigation through resolution and closure.
• Handle litigated, high-exposure, and catastrophic claims, coordinating with defense counsel and specialized resources.
• Manage medical treatment, disability, return-to-work, and indemnity benefits.
• Establish reserves, assess exposure, develop action plans, and identify significant claim developments.
• Evaluate settlement opportunities and negotiate within assigned authority.
• Communicate with injured workers, employers, clients, attorneys, and medical providers while supporting less-experienced adjusters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of workers’ compensation claims experience.
• Active Delaware Adjuster License required.
• Experience handling complex, litigated, catastrophic, and high-exposure claims.
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations, reserving, medical management, litigation, and settlements.
• Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Multi-state experience and additional applicable adjuster licenses are preferred.
