TL;DR
Trust & Safety Specialist (Child Safety Operations): Reviewing and classifying escalated visual content, submitting NCMEC CyberTip reports, and investigating repeat offenders with an accent on CSAM assessment, legal reporting accuracy, and child safety policy enforcement. Focus on analyzing AI-generated content, preserving case documentation, identifying recidivism signals, and resolving complex gray-area classifications.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California; hybrid work with on-site availability at the client's San Francisco office 2–3 days per week. Desk space is available in San Francisco and San Jose. Candidates must be authorized and able to work from this location.

Salary: $69,000–$104,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Review and classify escalated images and videos using the A1–B2 NCMEC classification framework.
  • Submit accurate, complete, and legally defensible CyberTip reports to NCMEC.
  • Investigate repeat offenders using IP, email, behavioral, and other account signals.
  • Review AI-generated content for user intent and child safety policy violations.
  • Identify queue trends and provide insights for process and policy improvements.
  • Maintain detailed case documentation and escalate uncertain or gray-area cases for calibration.

Requirements

  • Hands-on professional experience reviewing and classifying CSAM in a Trust & Safety role.
  • Working knowledge of the A1–B2 NCMEC classification system and applicable federal reporting requirements.
  • Experience submitting or supporting NCMEC CyberTip reports and maintaining documentation standards.
  • Ability to review disturbing visual content, including explicit child sexual abuse material, with accuracy and emotional regulation.
  • Experience supporting law enforcement workflows, evidence preservation, documentation packaging, or coordination with legal teams.
  • Full-time availability, residence and work authorization in the San Francisco Bay Area, and on-site availability in San Francisco 2–3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NCMEC reporting workflows, CyberTipline submissions, or law enforcement coordination.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk or ServiceNow.
  • Experience reviewing AI-generated content for policy violations.
  • Familiarity with creative professional products and use cases.
