Security Specialist (Battery Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in McCarran, Nevada, near Sparks. This is an overnight position requiring rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended hours as operationally required.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled security duties, including routine and random patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Monitor and operate CCTV, access control, alarm, and life-safety systems.
• Control and document site access, including visitor processing, credential checks, and contractor verification.
• Respond to security, safety, medical, and operational incidents, providing initial first aid, evacuation assistance, and scene control.
• Assess incidents, follow escalation procedures, and notify supervisors or emergency services when required.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, shift documentation, and equipment accountability records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of security operations, patrol procedures, access control, CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to follow post orders, safety requirements, company policies, and escalation protocols in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, assess situations, and make sound decisions during security, safety, medical, or operational incidents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including accurate report writing and professional communication with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders.

Nice to have

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, emergency response, or industrial security experience.
