Quality Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Flightwave, Torrance, California, United States; onsite work in office and manufacturing environments

Salary: $77,000–$114,000 annually, plus equity and potential bonuses

What you will do

• Support production teams in ensuring assemblies and components meet engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
• Develop inspection plans, work instructions, and quality documentation.
• Monitor production quality metrics and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Investigate and document nonconforming material through NCR processes and support MRB activities.
• Participate in root cause investigations using 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies.
• Partner with Production and Manufacturing Engineering on technical issues, audits, process controls, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required for ITAR/EAR-restricted work.
• Must not require sponsorship for export-restricted work authorization and must pass a post-offer background check.
