Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $80,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Evaluate supplier performance and improve the quality, cost effectiveness, and cycle times of supplied products.
• Manage supplier nonconformances and corrective actions, including 8D investigations for supplier-caused issues.
• Manage the approved supplier list and conduct periodic supplier assessments and onsite audits.
• Communicate, train, and oversee supplier compliance with hirify.global requirements.
• Support supplier evaluation, selection, recovery, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform source inspection and verification activities when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or a technical discipline, and at least 3 years of technical experience in a quality role or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with inspection planning, supplier evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Experience using measurement equipment, including surface plates, height gages, gage blocks, and CMM equipment.
• Experience with formal problem-solving and quality improvement tools such as 5-Why, RCCA, 8D, and DMAIC.
• Ability to work onsite in Niagara Falls, NY.
• Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance and access U.S. export-controlled information; a full physical examination is required.

Nice to have

• AS9100 lead auditor training or certification.
