Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

What you will do

• Develop platform functionality using Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, and Python with test-driven development.
• Build event-driven microservices using serverless technologies and RESTful Spring Boot APIs.
• Develop infrastructure as code with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, and Kinesis Firehose.
• Model complex product data across MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional technology teams to remove delivery blockers and build customer products.
• Document architecture decisions, participate in technical design sessions, and share new technologies through engineering learning sessions.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong back-end object-oriented programming fundamentals with proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and understanding microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Sound SDLC skills, preferably in an agile environment.
• Excellent English communication skills and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
