Backend Developer (AI)

Location: Fully remote from Argentina

Compensation: $45–$80 per hour; project-based consultants are paid per project, with hourly rates estimated from anticipated completion time.

What you will do

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks covering bug fixing, feature development, refactoring, migrations, and testing.
• Write clear specifications and complete reference implementations.
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
• Review peer-generated tasks for correctness, clarity, and realism.
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure alignment between specifications, code, and expected outputs.

Requirements

• Location: Argentina; fully remote work.
• Advanced professional written English proficiency.
• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, plus working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go.
• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems and testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Experience navigating large multi-file codebases, debugging, code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
