Software Engineer (C/Pro*C/Unix/Perl)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; hybrid with three days in-office and two days virtual

What you will do

• Analyze, design, and develop business logic and software according to client requirements.
• Develop solutions and applications for wealth-management products and financial-services implementations.
• Analyze client-reported defects and provide product or application fixes.
• Write specifications and design documents in collaboration with business analysts and customers.
• Support client implementations, conversions, migrations, and dedicated professional-services engagements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience preferred.
• Extensive software-development experience on Unix, including IBM AIX.
• Excellent knowledge of C and practical experience debugging C on Unix.
• Experience writing design or specification documents.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of the financial-services marketplace and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pro*C, PL/I, or Fortran.
• Hands-on scripting experience with Shell and Perl.
