Medical Assistant

Location: Onsite at 1775 South Lincoln Ave, Salem, OH 44460

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review medical information, collect updated health data, and record accurate documentation.
• Measure vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Support patient scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and external care coordination.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients by e-message, mail, or phone according to provider instructions.
• Participate in patient outreach and collaborate with the care team to identify and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
