Program Manager 2 (Missile Defense)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. On-site role with required work travel of at least 40–50%.

Salary: $100,000–$275,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Own execution of medium- to large-sized Air Force, missile defense, strategic systems, and ICBM modernization programs.
• Manage cost, schedule, technical performance, resources, risks, opportunities, issues, and deliverables throughout the program lifecycle.
• Lead customer relationships, program reviews, stakeholder communications, presentations, and cross-functional project teams.
• Coordinate suppliers with Supply Chain and oversee quality assurance, quality control, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Participate in contract negotiations, reporting, contract changes, competitive captures, and compliant proposals.
• Provide leadership oversight while supporting an open, positive, and inclusive team environment.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional project or program management experience in the commercial or defense industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related technical field preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of program management practices including Earned Value Management, Integrated Master Plans or Schedules, and opportunity, risk, and issue management.
• Experience managing government programs with direct internal and external customer interfaces.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required, and the selected applicant must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, business interaction, and Microsoft Office skills; willingness to travel as needed.
