Program Manager 2 (Defense)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Work travel is required for at least 30% of the time.

Salary: $100,000–$275,000 per year base salary.

What you will do

• Own execution of medium- to large-sized programs across cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer expectations.
• Manage projects and programs from inception through completion, including performance baselines, resource allocation, deliverables, and contract changes.
• Lead program teams, customer reviews, stakeholder communications, and supplier performance management.
• Identify and manage opportunities, risks, and issues across technical, cost, schedule, and delivery areas.
• Support customer partnerships, contract negotiations, competitive captures, and compliant proposals.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes in accordance with the Quality Management System and customer requirements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional project or program management experience in the commercial or defense industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related technical field preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of program management tools and processes, including EVMS, IMP/IMS, and opportunity, risk, and issue management.
• Experience delivering government programs with direct internal and external customer interfaces.
• Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and networking skills.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required.
