Operations Manager (Industrial Distribution)

Location: Onsite in Weston, Florida, with the listing also referencing Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Salary: $50,000–$56,000 annually, plus annual bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Direct and coordinate product procurement activities for sales and distribution.
• Hire, train, supervise, and manage warehouse staff, including associates and drivers.
• Review sales orders, purchase orders, vendor claims, transfers, and warehouse procedures.
• Manage inventory, cycle counts, stock-outs, excess inventory, freight expenses, invoices, and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Supervise order routing, loading, preparation, shipment, and delivery according to customer instructions.
• Coordinate with buyers, vendors, quality personnel, and sales staff to resolve product issues and support sales objectives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of operations experience in an industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
• Experience managing operations for a $5–10 million wholesale warehouse facility.
• Experience managing a team of at least five employees.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old and complete pre-employment drug testing and background verification.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of industrial product lines such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, automotive, or irrigation supplies.
• Bilingual, military, military spouse, or veteran background.
