Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Sealy, Texas, USA; on-site maintenance work in a manufacturing plant.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment.
• Maintain electrical components, drives, motors, process controls, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, and other mechanical drive systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, alignment, and urgent repairs for critical equipment.
• Maintain building systems, lighting, production lines, machinery, and overall facility equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with plant operations and production schedules.
• Follow permits, lockout procedures, plant policies, safety requirements, and applicable building codes while working with operators, specialists, and engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, electrical components, diagnostic instruments, mechanical drive alignment, blueprints, and basic electrical principles.
• Experience with computers, Microsoft Office, and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to communicate with operators and work effectively with personnel at all levels.

Nice to have

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician, industrial electrician, or mechanical maintenance technician.
• Technical degree in mechatronics.
• Experience and training in PLC programming.
