Oncology Nurse Navigator Per Diem

Location: Foxborough, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $88,100–$99,200 per year

What you will do

• Provide nursing care, assessment, education, documentation, and coordination for a defined oncology patient population.
• Guide patients, families, and caregivers through diagnosis, active treatment, survivorship, chronic cancer management, and end-of-life care.
• Perform telephone triage, symptom management, oral chemotherapy monitoring, follow-up, and patient education.
• Act as a liaison among patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support shared decision-making and appropriate referrals.
• Track program metrics and outcomes, participate in quality improvement, and contribute to program development and evaluation.
• Serve as the primary nursing contact in the satellite setting while maintaining evidence-based practice and patient safety standards.

Requirements

• Active registered nurse experience with at least 1 year of recent RN experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; candidates with an associate degree must complete a BSN within 4 years.
• AHA BLS certification required; AHA ACLS accepted as a minimum qualification.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, independent decision-making, and the ability to manage patients with complex needs.
• Strong communication, listening, organization, telephone triage, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and communicate professionally in English is required.

Nice to have

• Ambulatory or oncology nursing experience.
• Professional certification such as OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, or RN-BC.
