Oncology Infusion Pharmacist (Oncology)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $115,000–$152,500 per year

What you will do

• Oversee the preparation, sterile compounding, order verification, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
• Dispense chemotherapy, biologics, controlled substances, investigational medications, and other sterile products.
• Evaluate medication orders and investigational protocols for completeness and appropriateness, consulting providers and nurses when clarification is needed.
• Optimize drug therapy by identifying, resolving, and preventing drug-related problems and adverse drug events.
• Perform quality control for medication orders, prepared medications, compounding logs, refrigerators, hoods, emergency carts, and controlled-substance inventories.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and students as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• At least one year of pharmacist experience in hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, or sterile compounding, or three years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Massachusetts pharmacist license required; additional licensure may be required for some satellite locations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, prioritize changing responsibilities, use drug information resources, and apply critical thinking.
• Availability for rotating weekday shifts; weekends and evenings are not required.
