Director, Technology Operations - Strategic Partnerships and BD (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States — Home Office

Salary: $143,000–$286,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Define and lead Walmart’s technology partnerships roadmap across AI, commerce, and growth platforms.
• Launch and scale partnerships with technology companies, hyperscalers, and foundation model providers.
• Source opportunities and lead deal execution from exploratory discussions through term sheets, contract negotiation, and implementation.
• Structure agreements covering intellectual property, data rights, co-development, platform integrations, and commercialization models.
• Present recommendations to senior leadership and influence strategic direction.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Product, Advertising, Payments, Marketing, and Business.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships.
• 8+ years of experience negotiating and implementing term sheets and signed partner agreements.
• Proven experience sourcing, structuring, and scaling enterprise-level partnerships with measurable business impact.
• Experience presenting to and influencing VP, SVP, C-suite, and external executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex partner relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with qualifying experience, or 8 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area; 3 years of supervisory experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field with qualifying project, program, or operations management experience.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
